Release Notes for Genesis Supplements 1.2.x (Released May 2017)

1.2 Release Notes

New Features:

  • Allow ingredient component amounts to be listed on the Label
  • Allow ingredient components to be left justified and/or combined below the black line
  • Added the option for Vitamin D to be listed in IU units on the label
  • Added options for Protein %DV to be declared on Label
  • Allow ingredients to be imported from a tab delimited text file (can be generated from Excel)

Improvements:

  • Cost now shows on the formula screen for blends
  • Blend ingredients and ingredient components can now be edited from the formula screen
  • Default profile is now "%DV"
  • Removed confusing language from installer
  • Allow scrolling on scroll wheel
  • Improved speed performance issues
  • Improved import/export from exl and exlx files
  • Use units specified by user on Label
  • List units specified by the user on the formula screen
  • On the Statements tab, Ingredient Statement was renamed Other Ingredients
  • Improved the Use Abbreviations feature for formula labels
  • Allows adding a formula to a formula, where both formulas contain the same ingredient

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed overlapping on Ingredient ribbon
  • Removed phantom lines that appeared when renaming Ingredients
  • Fixed a bug where right clicking would lock Name and Weight fields on Ingredients
  • Added % Daily Value footnote for pregnant/lactating women Label
  • Removed phantom lines that appeared when modifying Calories
  • Fixed blurry Labels that appeared when previewing prior to a change
  • Reduced Label size on Label Report to appropriate size
  • Removed developer notes that appeared while hovering over certain items
  • Removed unnecessary Vitamin D Conversion
  • No longer allow for negative values to be displayed on Label
  • Removed that ability to type in multiple decimals in folic acid
  • Removed various typos
  • Shorten certain tool tips
  • Removed the 1000 Calorie footnote for children < 1 year labels
  • Secondary name display options are now working for Thiamin and Riboflavin for linear labels
  • Abbreviated dietary nutrients are now working for linear labels
  • The Options menu no longer accepts duplicate allergens or components
  • Fixed bugs related to Global User Added Fields not saving or being display properly (1.2.535)
  • Stability was improved with crash fixes, including:
    • Several crashes using the Save As feature
    • Pressing keys before the program is ready
    • Deleting user created fields in the Options dialog, then opening an ingredient or formula
    • Adding a duplicate ingredient component
    • Clearing the ingredient supplier name
    • Trying to open an ingredient that is already open
    • Modifying the label font size to 0
    • Several navigation crashes
    • Adding duplicate group name
    • intermittent crash when opening the formula statements tab

System Requirements:

  • Internet Connection required for installation.
  • Minimum of 1GB RAM (2 GB recommended)
  • Client OS: Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
  • SQL Server versions supported: SQL Server 2012 and newer (including Express versions)
