If your recipe calls for a specific weight of the turkey, and you know the desired fat level, you do not necessarily need to choose a "ground" turkey. 2 lbs of ground turkey weighs the same as 2 lbs of turkey breast or other turkey meat: 2 lbs. You might preview some of the available cuts of turkey in the database and see which more closely matches the fat content of the actual turkey you use. When comparing cuts of turkey, just be sure you have the same form and the same preparation method, as in compare raw to raw and cooked to cooked. Also, since ground turkey has no bone, compare other cuts of turkey that are boneless.
Ground turkey: I use 2 lbs of ground turkey in a recipe, but the ground turkey option in the database is too high in fat. What should I use?
