This error generally indicates that the database was previously attached to a newer instance of SQL Server than the one that it is attempting to be restored to. Most often this happens with the ESHA databases when you move the database from a local computer using the (localdb)\v11.0 server (SQL Server 2012 localdb), to a server that installed the ESHA instance of SQL Server, which uses SQL Server 2008r2. You can update the SQL Server instance to SQL Server 2012 by downloading SQL Server 2012 Express from Microsoft.
