Q. When we add a new food item to the database, do we need to give it a code? How do we construct this code?
A. When adding a new food item to your database, you may choose to assign it a User Code, but this is not necessary. ESHA Codes are only assigned to items in the ESHA database. For any foods that you add to your software, you have the option to assign the User Code. The User Code format would be a code of your determination and for your purposes.
