Q. What does the omega 3 fatty acids measurement reflect: does it include EPA and DHA (to provide an estimate of fish derived n-3), plus linolenic acid?
A. When individual fatty acids are reported, ESHA uses the following to report Omegas 3 & 6. The approach is an "at least" value. Meaning the Omega 3 value will include the sum of any reported fatty acids listed (sometimes not all are available). The Omega 6 will include the sum of both fatty acids listed or the value of either if one is missing.
