A. Countries may use different definitions for some nutrient fields. For example, in the US, the carbohydrate grams are determined by subtraction, where in the UK carbohydrate grams are determined by monosaccharide equivalents. Although both countries call their field “carbohydrate”, they are quite different, as the US field contains fiber and the UK field does not. Consider the definition used for the database you are referencing.
