Calculate the Calories to KJ and the regulation to indicate the decimal points for the Carbohydrate

Calories and kilojoules are fields that are directly linked in the ingredient and recipe. If you enter a value for one, Genesis will calculate a value for the other. So as long as you have a value for one, you will have the other automatically.

ESHA software automatically calculates kilojoules from Calories entered & vice versa. All ESHA database ingredients (those with ESHA Codes) will report both kilojoules & Calories. If you add your own ingredients, entering Calories will automatically populate the kilojoules field & entering kilojoules will populate the Calories field.

EU Rounding rules for Carbohydrate:
Fat*, Carbohydrate*, sugars*, Protein*, fibre*, polyols*, starch* :
≥10 g per100 g or ml round to nearest 1 g (no decimals)
<10 g and > 0.5 g per 100 g or ml round to nearest 0.1 g
no detectable amounts is present or concentration is ≤ 0.5 g per 100 g or ml, then “0 g” or "<0.5 g" may be declared
