Allergen Statement

Q.  When I am using a Genesis database item, how do I determine the allergens without the ingredient statement?

A.  With nutrient analyses, keep in mind that nutrient values from lab analyses and/or electronic databases are based on averages, and labeling regulations allow for variance to accommodate the average sampling.

The allergen statement however, is intended to report the allergens of the specific ingredients contained in the actual product. Refer to your supplier packaging and information to ensure that the Allergen Statement represents the ingredients contained in the finished product.
